Eligibility Criteria for Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2026:

Senior Ship Draftsman: Three year Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline from State Board of Technical Education with minimum 60% marks (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation)
Junior Technical Assistant: Three year Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline from State Board of Technical Education with minimum 60% marks (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Civil)
Laboratory Assistant: Three year Diploma in relevant Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical)/ Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc) in Chemistry from recognized University with minimum 60% marks
Storekeeper: Graduate with Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management or Diploma in Engineering
(Mechanical or Electrical)
Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (other than Fine Arts/ Performing Arts) or Science or Commerce or Computer Applications or Business Administration, with minimum 60% of marks from a recognized University.

Age Limit:

Maximum Age: 35 years as on 12-01-2026 (Candidates should be born on or after 13-01-1991)
Age Relaxation for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years for reserved posts
Age Relaxation for SC: 5 years for reserved posts

Selection Process for Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2026:

For Senior Ship Draftsman Posts:
- Phase I: Objective Type Online Test – 70 marks (75 minutes duration)
- Phase II: Practical Test in CAD – 30 marks
- Total Marks: 100 marks
- Minimum Pass Marks: 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for OBC, 40% for SC (in each phase separately)
For Junior Technical Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Storekeeper & Assistant Posts:
- Part 1: Objective Type Online Test – 70 marks (75 minutes duration)
- Part 2: Descriptive Type Online Test – 30 marks (60 minutes duration)
- Total Marks: 100 marks
- Minimum Pass Marks: 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for OBC, 40% for SC/PwBD (in each test separately)
Test Pattern for Senior Ship Draftsman:
- General Knowledge: 5 marks
- General English: 5 marks
- Reasoning: 5 marks
- Quantitative Aptitude: 5 marks
- Discipline Related: 50 marks
Test Pattern for Other Posts:
- Objective Test: General Knowledge (5), Reasoning (5), Quantitative Aptitude (5), General English (5), Discipline Related (50)
- Descriptive Test: Discipline Related (30 marks)

Important Notes:
- No negative marking in the examination
- Online tests will be conducted at various centers in Kerala
- CSL reserves the right to shortlist candidates based on eligibility requirements
- Rank list validity: 18 months from the date of last candidate reporting
