DRDO ITR Apprentice Recruitment 2025: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is an agency of the Republic of India, charged with the military’s research and development, headquartered in New Delhi, India. It was formed in 1958 by the merger of the Technical Development Establishment and the Directorate of Technical Development and Production with the Defence Science Organisation. It is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
Instruments Research and Development Establishment (IRDE), is devoted to research, design, development and technology transfer in optical and electro-optical instrumentation primarily for the defense Services.

Eligibility Criteria For DRDO ITR Apprentice Recruitment 2025:
Graduate Apprentice: BE/ B.Tech/ B.Lib.Sc/ BBA/ B.Com in branches such as Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Library Science, Safety Engineering, Administration, HR, Financial and Cost Accounting.
Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: Diploma holders in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Cinematography, Medical Laboratory Technology
Others Criteria
- Only those who passed degree or diploma in 2021/ 2022/ 2023/ 2024/ 2025 can apply. Postgraduates are not eligible.
- Applicants must be enrolled at nats.education.gov.in.
- Regular course graduates are eligible, not those with a year or more’s experience or training since qualification.
- Reservation rules as per Apprentices Act apply.
Selection Process For DRDO ITR Apprentice Recruitment 2025:
- Selection is based on a written test and personal interview for shortlisted candidates.
- The apprenticeship is for one year. No guarantee of post-training employment.
- No TA/DA for appearing in tests/interviews.
- No accommodation/transport is provided
