DRDO – PXE Recruitment 2026: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is an agency of the Republic of India, charged with the military’s research and development, headquartered in New Delhi, India. It was formed in 1958 by the merger of the Technical Development Establishment and the Directorate of Technical Development and Production with the Defence Science Organisation. It is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
Proof and Experimental Establishment (PXE) is an Indian defence laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Located in Balasore, Orissa, India. its main purpose concerns the research and development of technologies and products in the area of medium and large caliber weapons and their ammunition. PXE is organised under the Armament and Combat Engineering Cluster of DRDO.

Eligibility Criteria for DRDO PXE Recruitment 2026:
Educational Qualification:
Junior Research Fellow (Electronics & Communication/ Mechanical Engineering):
- Graduate Degree in professional course (BE/ B.Tech) in Electronics & Communication/ Mechanical Engineering in first division with GATE qualification. OR
- Post graduate degree in professional course (ME/ M.Tech) in Electronics & Communication/Mechanical Engineering in first division both at Graduate and Post Graduate level.
Note: Valid GATE score in the above subject is mandatory
Duration of fellowship: 2 years (may be extended further & upgraded to SRF as per rule)
Age Limit: 28 years as on 8th January 2026
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation is allowed up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates only.

Selection will be made on the basis of an interview held through video conferencing.
