Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025: The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) protects India’s maritime interests and enforces maritime law, with jurisdiction over the territorial waters of India, including its contiguous zone and exclusive economic zone.
The Indian Coast Guard was formally established on 18 August 1978 by the Coast Guard Act, 1978 of the Parliament of India as an independent Armed force of India. It operates under the Ministry of Defence.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025:
Navik (General Duty):
- Class 12th passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE)
Navik (Domestic Branch):
- Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
Yantrik:
- Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 03 or 04 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) OR
- Class 10th & Class 12th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) “AND” Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 02 or 03 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years
Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy) candidates is applicable if, posts are reserved for them.
Pay Scale:
- Navik (General Duty): Basic pay of Rs. 21700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/ place of posting as per the prevailing regulations
- Navik (Domestic Branch): Basic Pay Scale for Navik (DB) is Rs. 21700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/ place of posting as per the prevailing regulation
- Yantrik: Basic pay Rs. 29200/- (Pay Level-5). In addition, you will be paid Yantrik pay @ Rs. 6200/- plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the prevailing regulation.
Selection Process for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025:
- The selection of candidate is based on their performance in Stage-I, II, III & IV
- Qualification in Stage-I, II, III, IV is compulsory for recruitment in ICG.
- The selection of candidates for the post of Yantriks will be only for CGEPT-01/26 & for Navk(DB) will for CGEPT-02/26.
- However, selection of candidates for the post of Navik(GD) in either CGEPT-01/26 or CGEPT-02/26 batch will be based on order of merit, available vacancies and administrative requirement.
