Job Description:
The Piping Designer/ Engineer is responsible for the delivery of the piping isometric drawings and special items detailed manufacturing drawings under the hierarchical responsibility of the Piping Design. Manager and the functional responsibility of the Technical Project Manager with the following objectives:
- Respect of the Design Process as defined in the QMS of the business line,
- Technical conformity of drawings to internal standards and contractual requirements,
- Supply of a fast and reliable service to the project teams to respect the document and equipment contractual delivery schedules of projects.
Job responsibilities:
The duties of the Piping Designer/ Engineer are amongst others:
- Application of the Design Process,
- Check the completeness of the inputs received from the Technical Project Manager and basic engineering department to proceed to his/her work,
- Integrate equipment in the piping networks in 3D model,
- Proceed to the spooling of piping networks in the 3D model,
- Respect the pipe stress analysis reports for piping hanger location,
- Design the pipe supports and hangers in 3D and preparing the 2D drawings
