NHAI Recruitment 2026: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is an autonomous agency of the Government of India, responsible for management of a network of over 70,000 km of National Highways in India.
It is a nodal agency of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. NHAI has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Space Research Organisation for satellite mapping of highways. The NHAI was created through the promulgation of the National Highways Authority of India Act, 1988. In February 1995, the Authority was formally made an autonomous body.

Eligibility Criteria for NHAI Recruitment 2026:

Educational Qualification:

Deputy Manager (Finance & Accounts) (Group A):

Master of Business Administration (Finance) {MBA (Finance)} through regular courses from a recognised University or Institute.

Library & Information Assistant (Group B):

Bachelor’s in Library Science from a recognised University or Institute.

Junior Translation Officer (Group B):

Master’s degree of a recognised University
Recognised Diploma or Certificate Course in translation from Hindi to English and vice-a-versa or two years of experience translation work from Hindi to English and vice-a-versa in Central or State Government offices, including Government of India undertaking.
Desirable Educational Qualification: Knowledge at the Level of Matriculation of a recognised Board or equivalent of one of the languages other than Hindi mentioned in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.

Accountant (Group C):

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University or Institute; and
Intermediate in Chartered Accountant (CA); or Intermediate in Cost and Management Accountant (CMA).

Stenographer (Group C):

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University or Institute and
Dictation of 05 minutes at the speed of 80 words per minute in shorthand (English or Hindi) and transcription time (on computer only) shall be 50 minutes for English and 65 minutes for Hindi.
