NISE Recruitment 2026: NISE is an autonomous specialized institute under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, mandated for research and development, solar component testing and certification, capacity building, and development of solar products and applications.
NISE has established in the solar energy sector through continuous efforts by developing newer technologies, developing standards, and catering to the changing needs in the industry. Furthermore, NISE envisions in accelerating the proliferation of the renewable energy sector by intently working together with the Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria For NISE Recruitment 2026:
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering from a recognised University/ Board / Institution.
- Basic Operational computer knowledge.
Age Limit: The upper age limit for direct recruitment to this position will be 35 Years as on 5th January 2025
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation will be given to SC/ ST/ NC-OBC/ PwBD/ Ex-Servicemen/ Government Servants candidates as per existing Central Govt. Rules.
Selection Process For NISE Recruitment 2026:
- The screening and selection process shall be as prescribed by RRs of NISE.
- The selection to the said posts will be through Written Examination in order of merit secured during the examination.
- Date, time and venue for the written test shall be intimated separately
- Mere fulfilment of essential qualifications shall not entitle a candidate to be called for Written Test.
- Depending upon the number of applications received, the Screening Committee may adopt suitable criteria to decide the number of candidates to be called for Written Test for each post.
Exam Pattern:
- Duration: 180 min
- Part–I: General: 50 questions (MCQ), 50 marks (0.25 negative marking for wrong answers)
- General Awareness -10
- Reasoning -10
- Quantitative Aptitude -10
- English language proficiency-10
- Basics of computers – 10
- Part–II Technical: 150 questions (MCQ), 150 marks (0.25 negative marking for wrong answers)
- Renewable Energy Basics – 50 marks
- Solar PV – 50 marks
- Solar Thermal – 50 marks
