There were 18 ordnance factories before India became independent in 1947. 23 factories have been established after independence – mostly, in wake of defence preparedness imperatives caused by the three major wars fought by the Indian Armed forces.

Educational Qualification:

Deputy Manager (Mechanical) (Contract):

Qualification: BE/ B.Tech/ AMIE / Equivalent Degree in Mechanical/ Automobile Engg/ Production Engg/ Industrial Engg. with 1st Division or Equivalent CGPA.
Desirable: M.Tech in the relevant Mechanical field Preferable. (Above courses should be approved by AICTE).
Experience: 02 years experience in Design & Development / Production of Chassis / Vehicle Suspension/ Running gear system / Turret Weapon system /Ammunition loading system / Armament mounting system / Missile Launcher system / Structural analysis of Main Battle tanks / ICV’s / Automotives.

Deputy Manager (Electronics) (Contract):

Qualification: First Class Engineering Degree in Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electronics & Tele Communication / Instrumentation & Control / Applied Electronics & Instrumentation with 1st Division or Equivalent CGPA.
Desirable: M.Tech in relevant electronics field. (Above courses should be approved by AICTE).
Experience: Should have at least 02 years’ experience as project Managers in any one of the following core areas. A.Testing of Opto-electronic sights. B.Integration and testing of Fire Control Systems C. Assembly and testing of Electronic Warefare systems D.Assembly and testing of Missiles and various subsystems of Missiles E. Assembly and testing of Drones, UAVs etc F. Assembly and testing of Stabilization systems Desirable: Design of Opto-electronic sights, Fire Control Systems, Electronic Warefare Systems, Missile subsystems, Drones, UAVs, stabilization systems

Deputy Manager (EE) (Contract):

Qualification: BE/ B.Tech/ AMIE/ Equivalent Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 1st Division or Equivalent CGPA.
Desirable: M.Tech in Power Electronics/ Control System preferable.
Experience: The individual should have 02 years experience in design /manufacturing of any of the following systems. · Control systems · Power electronics, Power drives, communication protocols · Sensors, Data Acquisition system and ability to understand I/Os. · MATLAB and Simulink.

Deputy Manager (MM) (Contract):

Qualification: Degree in Engineering/Technology from a Recognised/reputed University/ Institution approved by UGC with 1st Division or equivalent CGPA
02 years MBA/ Post Graduate Diploma with Specialisation in Materials Management/Supply Chain Management with first class
Experience: Should have minimum 02 years experience in executive post for sourcing, Procurement, Vendor Development and materials management especially in Automotive industries / DPSUs etc.,

Junior Manager (Mechanical Design) (Contract):

Qualification: BE/ B.Tech {AMIE section A & B of the institution of Engineering (India)} Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1st Division or Equivalent CGPA.
Should have Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Unigraphics 3D modelling software (NX / Solidworks / Catia / ProE etc.,), FEA software (Ansys / Abaqus etc.,)

Junior Manager (Electronics) (Contract):

Qualification: First Class Degree in Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electronics & Tele Communication / Instrumentation & Control / Applied Electronics & Instrumentation with 1st Division or Equivalent CGPA.
Should have working knowledge in handling various test equipment / instruments for electronic systems such as multimeter, oscilloscope, clamp meter, Testing of PCB’s, System Level Integration, Wiring diagram etc.,

Junior Manager (NTS) (Contract):

Qualification: First-class Degree from a recognised university

Tenure: The selected contract employee will be engaged initially for a period of two years, which may be extended up to a maximum of five years (Including the initial period) based on project requirements and individual’s Performance (i.e. overall tenure of 5 years).

Selection Process for Ordnance Factory Medak Recruitment 2026:

Selection will be based on qualification and experience, and/or performance in the interview/interaction.

Screening:

Screening of Applications will be done by a Screening Committee constituted for that purpose.
Candidates are required to fill in the Application Form (attached with the advertisement) completely in all respects.
The completed Application Form has to be submitted to OFMK for screening by the Screening Committee.
Candidates may be shortlisted for an Interview.
Candidates possessing the Educational qualification prescribed above shall be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in the final examination of the relevant educational qualification to a considerable extent, based on the number of receipt of applicants meeting eligibility criteria against the number of vacancies.
Candidates will be shortlisted and allowed for interview, subject to document verification.

Interview:

If required, a Personal Interview/interaction will be conducted
For Post from Sno. 01 to 04 the following weightage criteria will be followed for the personal interview.
- Aggregate Marks secured in BE/B.Tech etc – 75%
- Relevant Post Qualification Experience: 2.5 marks will be allocated for minimum experience stipulated for the post. 1.25 marks will be allocated for every additional experience of 6 months, subject to a maximum of 10 marks. – 10%
- Interview for shortlisted candidates – 15%
For Post from Sno. 05 to 07, the following weightage criteria will be followed for the personal interview
- Aggregate Marks secured in BE/B.Tech etc. – 85%
- Interview for shortlisted candidates – 15%

Declaration of Result of Selection:

Only those candidates shortlisted may be called for interview (physical/virtual)
The names of candidates shortlisted for interviews will be notified on DOO website ddpdoo.gov.in/career and call letters will be sent to their e-mails
The results of the final selection, either on the basis of qualification and experience and/or interview,will be published only on DOO website ddpdoo.gov.in/career.
