Puducherry CGL Recruitment 2026: The Puducherry Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination-2025 is currently open for applications, managed by the Puducherry Examining Authority. This examination is for the direct recruitment of various Group B and Group C posts in the Union Territory of Puducherry.Online Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens who are Natives/ Residents of the Union Territory of Puducherry for the Written Competitive Examination to be held for Direct Recruitment to the posts in the Departments noted against the respective Post(s)/ Post Code, Puducherry.

Eligibility Criteria for Puducherry CGL Recruitment 2026:

Educational Qualification:

Statistical Inspector:

Post Graduate Degree from recognized University in Economics/ Statistics/ Mathematics or its equivalent.

Library and Information Assistant:

Degree from a recognised University;
Degree in Library Information Science from a recognised University.

Agriculture Officer:

Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture from a recognized University/institution or equivalent.

Technical Officer:

Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile/ Industrial/ Production Engineering/ Chemical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Textiles from a recognized Board or University
Practical experience in a workshop or factory for a period not less than two years.
Desirable: Degree in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Industrial/ Production Engineering/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Textiles from a recognized University.

Agriculture Officer (Engineering):

Degree in Agriculture or Mechanical or Civil Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent (or)
Diploma in Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering from a recognised University/Institution or equivalent;
2 years’ experience with proficiency in soil conservation/bore well sinking/repairs to Agricultural machinery.

Agriculture Officer (Hydrogeology):

Masters Degree in Geology or Applied Geology of a recognized University or equivalent; (or)
Diploma in Geology or Applied Geology from the Indian School of Mines and Applied Geology, Dhanbad.

Upper Division Clerk:

Bachelor Degree of an Accredited University.

Field Supervisor:

A degree of a recognized university in Economics/ Statistics/ Maths or its equivalent.

Nativity/Residence:

Those who are natives of the Union Territory of Puducherry and residents by continuous residence in the U.T. for the last 5 years immediately preceding the date of notification only are eligible to apply for the posts; and
The applicants on selection shall furnish the fresh Nativity/Residence Certificate issued by an Officer of the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management not below the rank of Deputy Tahsildar at the time of certificate verification

Age Limit:

Candidates age must be maximum 32 years as on 14-12-2025. Age is relaxable applicable.

Selection Process for Puducherry CGL Recruitment 2026:

The selection process will be based on the Written Examination & Certificate Verification

Written Examination:

The vacancies in the above said post will be filled through a Written Competitive Examination.
The Question paper will be of objective type consisting of two Papers with a duration of two hours having 100 questions for each paper carrying one mark each question from indicative syllabus.
There shall be negative marks for wrong answer or incorrectly shaded answers.
Negative mark of 0.25 will be awarded for every wrong answer and multiple answers will be treated as a wrong answer.
The Question Papers, Paper-I and Paper-IIA shall be Bilingual in English and Tamil/ Telugu/ Malayalam. Language of Paper-II B shall be English only.
Minimum qualifying marks to be secured by the various categories of candidates are as follows:
- UR: 30%
- OBC/ MB / EBC/ BCM/ BT/EWS : 25%
- SC/ ST/ PwBD/ XSM: 20%

Certificate Verification:

All the Provisionally Short Listed candidates will be called for verification of their Original Age/ Education/ Nativity (or) Residence/ Community Certificates, by the Puducherry Examining Authority.
Date & time of Certificate verification will be intimated to the candidates along with issue of admit card;
