SSC CGL Notification 2025: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organisation under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices
This commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which consists of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. His post is equivalent to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India

Eligibility Criteria for SSC CGL Notification 2025:
Junior Statistical Officer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level; [or]
- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level
Statistical Investigator Grade II:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute
- The candidates should have studied the subject of Statistics at Degree Level in Part-I, Part-II and Part-III or in all the six semesters of three year degree course and not simply a paper in any part of the Degree or six semesters at degree level.
All other Posts:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent
Note:
- The candidates who have appeared in their final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification as on 01-08-2025
- For Assistant Officers/ Divisional Accountant/Sub Inspector/-18-30 Years
- Junior Statistical Officer-up to 32 years
- For Assistant, Inspector-18-27 years
Age Limit: For all posts 18-27 years as on 1st August 2025.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD (Unreserved): 10 years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age.
- Defence Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof: 3 years
- Defence Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof (SC/ST): 8 years
Selection Process for SSC CGL Notification 2025:
SSC CGL selection process will be on The Computer Examination will be conducted in two tiers
- Tier-I & Tier-II
Tier-I: Computer-Based Examination:
- This Exam consists of 100 questions for 200 Marks. The total time duration is 60 minutes.
- Tier I will consist of Multiple objective-choice questions.
- The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for the English Comprehension.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer

Tier-II: Computer Based Examination:
- This examination was conducted for 180 minutes
- Tier-II will include conducting of Paper-I & Paper-II in separate shift(s)/ day(s).
- Paper-I is compulsory for all the posts.
- Paper-II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Statistical Investigator Grade-II in the office of Registrar General of India (M/o Home Affairs) and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for these Posts.
- Tier-II (Paper-I & Paper-II) will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions, except for Section-IV of Paper-I. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Language and Comprehension Part in Section-II of Paper-I.
- There will be negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II and Section-III of Paper-I and of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II.
- Section-III of Paper-I i.e. Computer Knowledge Test is mandatory but qualifying in nature

Mode of Selection:
- Minimum qualifying marks in Tier-I, Section-I, Section-II & Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I of Tier-II & Paper-II of Tier-II Examination are as follows
- UR: 30%
- OBC/EWS: 25%
- All other categories: 20%
- The maximum percentage of errors allowed (i.e. minimum qualifying standards) in Module-II of Section-III of Paper-I of Tier-II Examination i.e. DEST are as follows:
- UR: 20%
- OBC/ EWS: 25%
- All other categories: 30%
- Based on the marks scored in Tier-I i.e. Computer Based Examination, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Tier-II Examination
- Merit list will be prepared on the basis of overall performance of candidates in Tier-II Examination only
