Eligibility Criteria for TAFE Recruitment 2026:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical/ Automobile Engineering
- 1 – 2 years of experience in QMS within automotive plastic component manufacturing.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive quality tools (APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, Control Plan).
- Familiarity with problem-solving techniques (8D, Fishbone, 5-Why).
- Strong documentation and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Job Description:
The QMS Engineer is responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements. This role ensures adherence to quality standards across processes and products in the automotive plastic component manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of QMS documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records.
- Support internal and external audits and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and OEM-specific requirements.
- Maintain and update Control Plans, PFMEA, and Process Flow Diagrams.
- Ensure proper handling of customer complaints, NCRs, and 8D reports.
- Track and report quality KPIs (e.g., rejection rates, audit findings, customer PPM).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in supplier quality management and incoming inspection processes.
- Support training and awareness programs related to QMS and quality standards.
- Participate in management reviews and contribute to QMS improvement projects.
- Ensure adherence to TAFE EPD Group Code of Ethics, Environmental Policy, and Quality Policy.
