Eligibility Criteria For TANUVAS Recruitment 2026:

Educational Qualification:

Subject Matter Specialist:

Master’s degree in Veterinary Science / Animal Science/ Agronomy/ Horticulture/ Soil Science/ Home Science /Community Science/ Fisheries Science/ Aquaculture/ Food Technology / Dairy Technology / Poultry Technology / LPT from a recognized University.
Desirable:
- Net qualification
- Ph.D. Qualification
- Experience in KVK and Extension Education concerned Projects
- Working knowledge of computer

Programme Assistant (Computer):

Graduate in Computer Science (CS) / Computer Application.
Desirable:
- Experience managing databases and web portals while having a background in agriculture or similar sciences.
- Post Graduate in CS/ Computer Application or equivalent qualifications from an accredited University

Programme Assistant (Laboratory Technician):

Graduate in Agriculture and allied subjects from an accredited University.
Desirable:
- Experience in KVK and Extension Education concerned Projects
- Post Graduate in Agriculture and allied subjects from State Agricultural University *Graduate in Agriculture and allied subjects (Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture Engineering, Sericulture, Home/Community Science)

Farm Manager:

A bachelor’s degree in agriculture and concerned fields from an accredited university
Desirable:
- Experience in farm management / KVK/ Extension Education Projects activities from a reputed institution or firm
- Master’s degree in Agriculture and allied subjects from State Agricultural University

Assistant:

Essential: A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University. (Nature of Duties – He / She has to perform the Office administrative work)
Desirable:
- Experience in KVK and Extension Education concerned Projects 2.
- Master’s degree from an accredited University

Stenographer Grade – III:

Essential: 12th Std pass
Professional Efficiency: One dictation exam in either Tamil or English will be administered to the candidates for ten minutes at 80 words per minute. Candidates who choose to take the test in Tamil must use a computer to transcribe the content in 65 minutes, while those who choose to take the test in English must do it in 50 minutes.

Driver:

Matriculation pass qualification from an accredited board;
Possession of a valid and appropriate driving license from prescribed Government Authority (the candidate will have to pass the practical skill test to be taken by an appropriate committee of Institute/ University).
Desirable:
- One year trade certificate in the relevant field from ITI; or
- Experience of Driving in an accredited institution; or (
- Experience of Motor Mechanic work
- Possession of LMV driving license.

Skilled support staff – I:

Essential: Matriculation or equivalent pass or ITI pass.
Desirable: One year experience in an accredited institution or firm.

Age Limit: Minimum – 18 Years; Maximum – 32 Years as on 30th November 2025.

Selection Process For TANUVAS Recruitment 2026:

The selection process will be based on Written test (Degree standard based MCQ) for Programme Assistant (Computer / Lab Technician), Farm Manager and Assistant, Written test (HSC standard based MCQ) and Proficiency test for Stenographer Grade-III and Proficiency / Skill test for Driver and Skilled Support Staff – I will be conducted

Application Fees: The application form duly filled in along with a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.500/- and in case of SC/ST candidates Rs.250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty only) drawn in favour of “The Finance Officer, TANUVAS, Chennai51” payable at Chennai should be sent so as to reach the Director of Extension Education of the University before the prescribed time and date
