TNPSC Combined Technical Services Exam 2026: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is a department of the government of Tamil Nadu that is responsible for governing the recruitment of personnel into the state’s public service. It is the successor of the Madras Service Commission, which came into being under an Act of the Madras Legislature in 1929 and was the first Provincial Public Service Commission in India.

In 1923, the Indian Government established a Public Service Commission to examine the salary structure of the Indian Civil Service and the possibility of transferring some of the duties to provincial services.

Eligibility Criteria for TNPSC Combined Technical Services Exam 2026:

Educational Qualifications:

Posts without Experience:

Assistant Director of Agriculture (Extension) (Post Code 3202):

• A degree of M.Sc in Agricultural Extension or Agricultural Economics.
  Provided that other things being equal, preference shall be given to those who possesses the M.Sc degree in Agricultural Extension.

Assistant Manager (Accounts) (Post Code 3335):

• Should have qualified CA/ ICWA course i.e. must have passed the Final Examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India / Institute of Cost Accountants of India (or) its equivalent qualification.

Accounts Officer Class III (Post Code 2093):

• Must have passed the Final Examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants / Cost Accountants.

Manager Grade – III (Finance) (Post Code 3301):

• CA/ ICWA.

Senior Officer (Finance) (Post Code 3302):

• CA/ ICWA.

Senior Officer (Legal) (Post Code 3312):

• BL/ LLB Degree from a Law College recognized by University Grants Commission.

Posts with Experience:

Senior Accounts Officer (Post Code 3535):

• Must be either Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant with 2 years of experience.

Assistant Manager (Legal) (Post Code 3259):

• Must possess a degree in Law awarded by a recognized University (B.L.).
• Must have sound knowledge of Corporate Laws, Labour Laws, and experience on the original side in City
• Civil Courts or Mofussil courts for a period not less than five (5) years and must have good knowledge and practice in Motor Accidents Claims / Tribunal, Labour Courts, etc.
• Other things being equal, preference shall be given to candidates possessing Post-Graduate Diploma in Labour Laws / Social Science.

Manager (Marketing) (Post Code 3394):

• MBA (Marketing) from a recognized University / Institute.
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in the field of Marketing preferably in Cement Industry with
• 5 years of service in middle managerial position.

Manager (Mechanical) (Post Code 3390):

• BE/ B.Tech Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University / Institute.
• Experience: 15 years (in one million ton capacity Cement Plant).

Deputy Manager (Mechanical) (Post Code 3395):

• BE/ B.Tech Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University / Institute.
• Experience: 10 years (in one million ton capacity Cement Plant).

Deputy Manager (Materials) (Post Code 3400):

• BE/ B.Tech (Mechanical) from a recognised University/ Institute + Diploma in Materials Management.
• Experience: 10 years in the field of materials inventory.

Assistant Manager (Materials) (Post Code 3401):

• BE/ B.Tech (Mechanical) from a recognised University/ Institute + Diploma in Materials Management.
• Experience: 5 years in the field of materials inventory.

Deputy Manager (Electrical) (Post Code 3396):

• BE/ B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognised University / Institute.
• Experience: 10 years (in one million ton capacity Cement Plant).

Age Limit:

• The candidates should have completed the age of 21 years for all the posts as on 1st July 2025.

Selection Process for TNPSC Combined Technical Services Exam 2026:

• The Combined Technical Services Examination (Interview Posts) comprises of two stages (i) Written Examination and (ii) Interview.
• The candidates shall be admitted to the written examination, based on the claims made in the online application.
• Appearance in Paper I, Paper II and the Interview is compulsory. Candidates who have not appeared either for Paper I, Paper II and Interview, will not be considered for selection, even if they secure the minimum qualifying marks.
• The Paper II, Part B and Part C of Paper I will be evaluated only if the candidate secures minimum qualifying marks of 40% (i.e., 60 Marks) in Part A of Paper I.
• The questions in Part B and Part C of Paper I will be set both in English and Tamil.
