Job Description:
As an IT Helpdesk Engineer specializing in endpoint support, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the organizations IT infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical assistance and support to end-users, resolving issues related to endpoint devices such as desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide L1/L2 support for end-user issues via ticketing system, phone, and walk-in.
- Troubleshoot desktop/laptop issues related to Windows OS (11), MS Office, Outlook, and basic network connectivity.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues involving desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
- Perform installations, configurations, and upgrades of OS and standard software.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
- Provide IT support to production line systems such as Manufacturing PCs, PLC-connected systems, barcode printers and scanners.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues in shop-floor environments (LAN, switches, patch panels).
- Coordinate with vendors/OEMs for unresolved or critical production issues.
- Ensure minimal downtime and adhere to production SLAs.
- Handle incidents and service requests via ITSM tools (ServiceNow, In-house tool etc.).
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and suggest preventive measures.
- Follow ITIL processes and ensure documentation, relevant KB is followed for all support activities.
- Windows 11 troubleshooting.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN).
- Active Directory & Group Policy.
- Microsoft 365 support.
- Understanding of production/industrial IT environment.
