Eligibility Criteria For DRDO CEPTAM Recruitment 2026:

Educational Qualification:

• Essential Qualification (STA-B): B.Sc. or 3-year Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline from recognized university/ institute (as per post code)
• Essential Qualification (Tech-A): 10th Pass + ITI Certificate in relevant trade from recognized institute
• Candidates possessing higher qualifications (M.Sc., B.Tech, B.E., Ph.D. etc.) as on crucial date of eligibility (01.01.2026) are NOT eligible
• Result-awaited candidates as on crucial date are NOT eligible

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 28 Years
• Upper age relaxation as per Government of India rules (SC/ST: 5 yrs, OBC-NCL: 3 yrs, PwBD: up to 10/13/15 yrs, ESM, Departmental candidates etc.)

Total Vacancies: 764 Posts

Salary: 

• Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B): Pay Structure Level 6 (Rs. 35,400–1,12,400) as per 7th CPC.
• Technician-A (Tech-A): Pay Structure Level 2 (Rs. 19,900–63,200) as per 7th CPC.
• Other allowances and benefits will be as per Government of India and DRDO rules applicable to these pay levels.

Selection Process For DRDO CEPTAM Recruitment 2026:

• The selection process will comprise of Computer Based Test (CBT) Tier-I and Tier-II followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination.
• Tier-I (CBT): Provisional selection on the basis of marks obtained in Tier-I exam.
• Tier-II (CBT): Trade/Skill Test (for Technician-A) or Descriptive Test (for STA-B) – qualifying in nature.
• Final selection will be based on combined merit of Tier-I and Tier-II marks (where applicable) and subject to medical fitness.
• Date of Tier-I Exam (CBT) will be announced on DRDO website.

Application Fees:

• For STA-B Posts UR/OBC/EWS candidates have to pay (Non Refundable 250 Rs+Refundable Fee 500 Rs) 750 Rs, SC/ST/Women/PwBD/Ex service Candidates have to pay 500 Rs
• for TECH-A Posts UR/OBC/EWS candidates have to pay (Non Refundable 100 Rs+Refundable Fee 500 Rs) 600 Rs, SC/ST/Women/PwBD/Ex service Candidates have to pay 500 Rs
• *Refundable Fee: An amount of ₹500/- shall be refunded only to those candidates who appear in Tier-I CBT.
• Note: Ex-servicemen who have already secured employment in civil side under Central Government on regular basis after availing of the benefits of reservation given to Ex-servicemen for their re-employment are NOT eligible for fee waiver. Such Ex-servicemen have to pay fee according to their respective category.
• Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
• Payment Mode: Online only (Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card / UPI).
• Last date for payment of application fee: 03.01.2026 (23:55 Hours)

• Before filling the online application, candidates are advised to read the complete advertisement carefully.
• One candidate can apply for only one post code. Multiple applications for different post codes will lead to cancellation.
• Candidates must fill all required details, upload photograph, signature and relevant documents/certificates in prescribed format.
• After successful submission, candidates should take a printout of the application for future reference.
• No hard copy/postal application will be accepted.
