Cochin Shipyard Apprentices Recruitment 2025: Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) is a Indian state-owned company incorporated in 1972, recognized as a leader in the Indian shipbuilding and ship repair industries. Headquartered in Kochi, Kerala, CSL constructs and repairs diverse vessels for commercial and defense clients, including the Indian Navy, and has expanded repair services to both India’s West and East Coasts.
The company is known for building India’s first Indigenous Aircraft Carrier and provides specialised training through its Marine Engineering Training Institute.

Stipend:
- Graduate Apprentices: Rs 12,000/- PM
- Technician Apprentices: Rs 10,200/- PM
Training Period: One year

Eligibility Criteria for Cochin Shipyard Apprentices Recruitment 2025:
- Graduate Apprentices:
1) A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline.
2) A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline.
3) Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
4) Some Universities/Institutes/Examination Boards do not award Class or Percentage of marks and allot Aggregate Grade Points (e.g. CGPA/OGPA/CPI, etc.). In case University/Institute/Examination Board defines criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks, the same shall be accepted. However, where the University/ Institute/ Examination does not define criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks, the Aggregate Grade Points shall be multiplied by 10 to get the required percentage of marks. - Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
1) A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.
2) A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a University in relevant discipline.
3) A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
Note: Candidates who have completed their Degree/ Diploma in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 will only be eligible to apply for apprenticeship training in 2025. Candidates who have completed Degree through Distance Learning/ Part Time/ Correspondence/ Sandwich courses shall not be considered for apprenticeship training in CSL

Selection Process for Cochin Shipyard Apprentices Recruitment 2025:
- Only candidates who are domicile of Kerala shall be considered. Shortlisting of candidates for selection will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines.
- Candidates short-listed for the certificate verification prior selection should bring the original certificates towards proof of age, qualification, percentage of mark, caste, disability (if any) etc.
- Those candidates who successfully complete certificate verification shall be provisionally considered for selection against the notified training seats in the order of merit/reservation, subject to Medical fitness.
