Indian Army TGC Recruitment 2024: The Indian Army is the land-based branch and the largest component of the Indian Armed Forces. The President of India serves as Commander-in-Chief of the army, and it is commanded by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), who is a four-star general. Two officers have been conferred the rank of Field marshal, a Five-star rank, which is a ceremonial position of great honour.
The primary mission of the Indian Army is to ensure national security and unity, defending the nation from external aggression and threats, and maintaining peace and security within its borders.

Applications are invited from eligible unmarried Male Engineering Graduates for 141th Technical Graduate Course (TGC) commencing in JUL 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Army TGC Recruitment 2024:

• Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of the Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply.
• Candidates studying in the final year of the engineering degree course should be able to submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination along with mark sheets of all semesters/years by 01 Jul 2025 and produce the Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at Indian Military Academy (IMA). Such candidates will be inducted on Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost of training at Indian Military Academy (IMA) as notified from time to time as well as stipend and pay & allowances paid, in case they fail to produce the requisite degree certificate.

Note: 

• All final year appearing candidates whose final year/Final semester exam will be scheduled after 01 Jul 2025 are not Eligible to apply for this course
• Candidates studying in final year/semester of Engineering degree course should not have any backlog at the time of submission of application. Any candidate if found having backlog will not be allowed to appear in SSB interview and candidature of such candidates will be cancelled

Training: Selected candidates will be detailed for training at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun according to their position in the final order of merit (engineering streamwise) upto the number of available vacancies and subject to meeting all eligibility criteria. About 12 Months

Age Limit: 20 to 27 years (Candidates born between 02 Jul 1998 and 01 Jul 2005, both dates inclusive) as on 1st July 2025

Cost of Training: The entire cost of training at Indian Military Academy (IMA) Dehradun is at Government expense. In case the Gentleman Cadet is withdrawn from Training Academy due to reasons other than medical ground or the reasons not beyond his control, he will be liable to refund cost of training @ ₹ 16260/- per week as per Mod letter No 16(1)/2017-D(GS.II) dt 15 Mar 22, the annual increment is 8% and as notified from time to time (for the period of candidate’s stay at the IMA, Dehradun). The cost of training borne by State, will be recovered from candidates withdrawing for personal reasons

Selection Procedure for Indian Army TGC Recruitment 2024:

• Candidates will be put through two stage selection procedure
• Those who clear Stage-1 will go to Stage -2.
• Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cutoff percentage of marks for each Engineering discipline/stream without assigning any reason.
• The cut off will be applied in each stream on the cumulative percentage of marks obtained by the candidates upto the final semester/year.
• Final semester/year studying candidates will be provisionally allowed to appear in SSB; subject to following conditions:
  • Their cumulative percentage of marks upto 6th semester/3rd year of Engg degree, upto 8th semester/4th year of B. Architecture (B.Arch) and upto 2nd semester/1st year of M.Sc in notified equivalent stream/ discipline is not below the approved cut off percentage in their respective streams
  • After declaration of final results, the cumulative percentage of marks upto final semester/ year of degree course will also be not less than the approved cut off percentage, failing which the candidature will be cancelled.
• Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cutoff percentage will be interviewed at one of the Selection Centres viz. Prayagraj (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Jalandhar (Punjab) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer
• Call Up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centres through candidate’s registered e-mail id and SMS only
• Merit list will be prepared engineering stream/subject wise on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate at SSB interview

Centre Allotment: After shortlisting of applications, the centre allotment will be intimated to the candidate via their email.
